9:00-9:15: Welcome and Overview
9:15-9:45: Each ESU will meet and make a plan for implementation. Choose at least 3 modules that would be appropriate for your unit to implement with your schools. Create a timeline that includes: module titles, content, approximate training dates, lead trainer, publicity plan, and evaluation. Implementation form posted on wiki.
9:45-10:00: Break
10:00-12:00: Choose one session to attend: Area 1: Design an evaluation protocol with Margaret & Sandy Area 2: Meet with creators of PLN modules to go more in depth. RE: content, activities, implementation tips (at least one person from each module must be available to be the “expert” on their module).
12:00-1:00: Lunch and Playgrounds
Playgrounds—four areas each with a computer will be identified. Area 1 will have modules 1-4, Area 2 will have modules 5-7, Area 3 will have modules 8-11, and Area 4 will have modules 12-14.
1:00-3:00: Choose one session to attend:
Area 1
Area 2
Meet GEMS creators to go over content, activities, and implementation tips. (A member of each GEMS group must be available to give a guided tour through their module.)
Continue an individual PLN; adding and organizing content and prioritizing resources. Bring a flip camera to record a practice presentation. Be ready to offer and receive feedback.
3:15-3:45: Each person will write a personal implementation plan that will include: choosing a module, planning for implementation and/or presentation, and evaluation (possible impact on teaching and learning). Continue using the Implementation Form from this morning.
